How I Do (Reset) - 20th Anniversary Re-Recording [Limited Misprint Edition Vinyl]
In How I Do (Reset), prodigious musical talent Res unveils a captivating re-recording of her highly acclaimed 2001 debut album. From poignant lyricism to infectious melodies, this album captures the essence of Res' artistic vision with unwavering precision. Each track breathes new life into her classic work, offering a sonic experience that is at once nostalgic and forward-thinking.
The Story Behind the "Reset"
This album was born out of pure creative resilience. After 95% of the original 2001 masters were corrupted, Res returned to her hometown of Philadelphia in May 2022 to rebuild. Led by producer/drummer Steve McKie at Pine Studios in West Philly, Res and an incredible lineup of musicians entirely re-recorded the album in just seven days—infusing it with a renewed sense of vitality and creative energy.
⚠️ Important Note for Collectors: The Rare Misprint Edition
This first-ever vinyl pressing of the re-recording is a true, one-time misprint edition. The track "Sittin' Back" is listed on both the jacket and the vinyl label, but was accidentally omitted during the final pressing. Because of this omission, Side A features slightly extended run times of “Golden Boys,” “They-Say Vision,” “700 Mile Situation,” and “Ice King.”
Only 1,000 copies were pressed before the error was discovered. No additional pressings with this mistake will ever be produced, making this batch a highly unique collector’s item that will never be duplicated.
